The Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum

Arlon is a Gallo-Roman city, and the Arlon Archaeological Museum stands testament to this. While the Museum displays archaeological material from the prehistoric age to the Middle Ages, the Gallo-Roman collection is the largest of its collections.
The Archaeological Museum is home to Gallo-Roman artefacts from Arlon and the province of Luxembourg. It features Belgium’s largest stone collection, including fragments of funerary monuments and civil buildings. Visitors can also discover the findings of recent excavations in Arlon and from the Roman villa at Mageroy (Habay).

The Arlon Archaeological Museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, and organizes conferences and themed days tailored to different types of audience.
