Arlon Synagogue
On Rue de la Synagogue in Arlon, you can admire Belgium’s very first synagogue. Although the Jewish community represented only 2% of the population of Arlon at the time, the building was constructed right in the city center. It was inaugurated in 1865. The building was created by architect Albert Jamot. It is characterized by an oriental style that can be found both in the interior and on the exterior. Listed as a major Wallonia heritage site in 2005, it was completely renovated in 2019.
